FAQs

Why coaching?

Coaching allows time and space for an honest look at your satisfaction with Life + Work.  The coach acts as a guide to help you ask focused questions about your own values & what matters most to you. We focus on forward momentum, personalized goals & accountability check-ins that fit your life.

Coaching is different than therapy, though the two can be supportive of one another.   We may discuss habitual thought patterns that get in your way or provide other tools to help you see life + work through a different lens.

Integrative health coaching focuses on your vision of optimal well-being for the long-term. When combined with executive coaching, your relationship with work is considered as an integral part of overall life satisfaction.

What results can I expect from coaching?

Coaching results are a direct result of your desire to experiment with small lifestyle changes and to be transparent in the coaching relationship.

There aren’t specific ‘one-size fits all” results because every client’s work-life or wellbeing goals are different.

In general, clients report better ability to cope with stress, shifts in their level of compassion for themselves and others & deeper engagement in fun and meaningful activities. They also generally report higher satisfaction at work- especially when they address stress, sleep, connection, play/fun & movement goals.

You’ll generally see noticeable change over 3-6 months of coaching as long as you put the new habits into practice.  Clients who choose 12 months or longer really see transformation of their lives!

What’s your coaching philosophy?

The core of coaching is the belief that YOU are fully capable of transformation & the authority on your own life .  We partner to create an intentional vision that incorporates this whole person view- body, mind, spirit, surroundings- and your unique values and strengths.

We clarify what brings a sense of connection, balance and meaning & build habits to focus action on what matters most to you.

We look at where you’re feeling disconnected, out of balance or unfocused to create strategies that FIT.

There’s no one size fits all prescription for living a balanced and meaningful life, so we design the one that works for YOU.

What kinds of clients do you work with?

I work with all kinds of high-achieving professionals often in healthcare or entrepreneurial pursuits, but in all walks of business and life.  They often feel like there’s never enough time and tend to OVERWORK.

My clients are smart, motivated and creative… and often on the edge of burnout because of their high demand, high stress lifestyles and jobs.  They often put themselves last on their list because they place high value on helping others and professional accomplishment.

They tend to be in responsible positions or entrepreneurial pursuits that involve high degrees of strategic & creative thinking, multiple simultaneous projects and patient or client service.

It’s not about the job title… it’s about how YOU view your work-life balance.

What’s your education and training?

I’m trained as a healthcare professional (pharmacist), coach, mindfulness & yoga teacher. My coach training is through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, the Martha Beck Institute, WellCoaches, Chef Coach and VIA Character Strengths- with hundreds of hours of additional training in mindfulness meditation, yoga therapy and yoga.

I have a Doctor of Pharmacy & MS degree and am board-certified in lifestyle medicine, health & wellness coaching and nuclear pharmacy, as well as certified in mindfulness meditation, yoga and yoga therapy. I’ve been practicing yoga for more than 30 years and mindfulness more than a decade.

We’ll partner to decide which strategies bring YOU the most benefit to achieving your long-term wellbeing, stress reduction and life vision goals.
